3D Jungle: Project 3 Final
After printing and testing 4 different renderings and choosing the final piece, I was ready to print. While I usually use the CU print lab, I was in a little bit of a time crunch and had the helpful guys at fed-ex help me out. I printed the image at 16 x 20 inches, large enough to see the colors and images pop. After sharing it with the class, I and my peers found it fun to shift your perspective as the images move. This project can be aligned with the ways in which we attempt to preserve our natural environments by recognizing them and creating art with them, yet in reality, the rainforest in drastically threatened by our use of possibly the paper itself. While this meaning wasn’t originally intended, it was developed through feedback and thought. The 3d glasses also came with additional fun, as we used them to view other’s projects in processing, revealing even more intricate and dynamic shapes hidden within the computer-generated images. I hope to use this experience to create more 3d images in the future, with more complexity and intricacy next time. This class always teaches me so many tools to expand my creative literature and I love how endlessly explorative it has been and wish I had more time to continue to explore my love for multimedia and the digital arts. Thanks again Corrina for another amazing semester, I’ll always cherish our little art fam, love ya and see you in January :) P.S. Sorry I didn’t have new images for this post, but heres some close ups, just click to rotate through!
